Summary

The 2nd KNMF Workshop on X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) was successfully highlighted in cooperation with Thermo Fisher Scientific on November 10-11, 2010. Over 52 international participants came together to discuss recent developments, novel results and emerging applications, among them Dr. Dimitri Petrovykh from the University of Maryland who gave a keynote lecture on "XPS Analysis of Soft Nanoscale Films: Polymers and Bio/Organic Molecules". Furthermore, the participants of the workshop were involved in live demonstrations on a K-Alpha, Alpha 110, and DXR Raman Microscope.
